I’ve spent most of my life in schools, first as a teacher and now as a school leader. The moments that matter most are simple. A lesson that clicks. A conversation that changes a student’s perspective. Ending the day knowing the work mattered. But over time, I’ve seen a gap.

Students can succeed in school and still struggle in who they are becoming. Schools can perform well and still miss what matters most. That’s why I believe education is not just about performance. It’s about formation.

Today, I help school communities think differently about education so students are shaped with intention, not just pushed toward outcomes. I do that through writing, conversation, and practical frameworks that connect faith to everyday school and home life. My goal is to help people see what actually matters, because when that changes, decisions change.

And while much of my work is focused on schools, I believe the most important formation starts at home. When parents grow in clarity and purpose, it changes everything for the children they are raising.

At heart, I’m still a teacher. I just spend more time now helping others see what actually matters.
